The battery storage project in Karstädt, in the Prignitz district, has an output of 15.8 MW and a large storage capacity of 32 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and avoided network charges (§ 18 StromNEV) and is connected to the WEMAG network. Construction of the plant is planned for 2025.
