The battery storage project in Schobüll (Großenwiehe), in the Schleswig-Flensburg district, has an output of 20 MW and a gross storage capacity of 41 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and from avoided network charges (§ 18 StromNEV) and is connected to the SH Netz GmbH network.
